Barcelona and Brazilian forward Neymar has tipped the three times Ballon d'or winner and Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo to win 2016 Ballon d'or ahead of Lionel Messi.
Ronaldo came second behind Messi for the 2015 Ballon d’Or but Neymar believes the 31-year-old is favorite to lift the trophy. “Winning titles plays a big role in the race for the Ballon d’Or,” Neymar said.
“Ronaldo won the Champions League and now Euro 2016 as well. So I reckon he is in a good position. “Plus Ronaldo is a great player. I have no qualms in saying that,” he added. Ronaldo guided Madrid to Champions League glory at the expense of Atletico Madrid in 2015-16, before winning Euro 2016 with Portugal thanks to Eder strike in extra time.
