Online registration commences on Friday, 29th July, 2016 and ends on Friday 12th August, 2016. Those who fail to register within the period WILL NOT be screened. To register, follow the steps outlined below:

2.     Click on Prospective students.
3.     Click on “Click to Apply” under 2016/2017 Admission Screening Application.
4.     EnteryourJAMB RegistrationNumber.
5.     Select your payment mode (Generate Remita Retrieval Reference Number to pay at any bank or simply pay with your bankATM card).
6.     Proceed to any bank for your payment with your Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR).
7.     Return to the Application page and enter your JAMB Registration number again.
8.     Proceed with the completion of the form.
9.     Correctly enter your O’Level results.
10.     Upload CLEAR COPIES of 2016 UTME Result, O’Level results, First School Leaving Certificate, Birth Certificate, and Local Government Identification.
11.     Confirm your entries.

13.     Print out your acknowledgement slip.

BASTAIN SCHWEINTEIGER RETIRES FROM INTERNATIONAL FOOTBALL

Bastain Schweinteiger retires from international football-the midfielder brings an end to a 12-year spell with the Germany national team, during which he won the World Cup and picked up a silver medal from the European Championship

 
Manchester United midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger has announced his retirement from international football after making 120 appearances for Germany.

The 31-year-old is one of his country's most capped players and featured in five games for Die Mannschaft at Euro 2016 as they reached the semi-finals before losing out to hosts France.

Schweinsteiger, who made his debut for the national team in 2004, won one World Cup title as Joachim Low's men beat Argentina in the final in 2014, after finishing third in 2006 and 2010. He also picked up a silver medal from Euro 2008.

And the Manchester United midfielder has published a statement declaring that his time with the German national team has come to an end.

"I have recently asked the coach to not nominate me for the national team anymore because I would like to retire," he wrote.

"I was allowed to collect 120 caps for my country and I lived some moments which have been indescribably beautiful and successful.

"Jogi Low knew how much Euro 2016 in France meant to me because I really wanted to win that title we have not been able to win since 1996.

"It was not meant to be, I have to accept that.

"By winning the World Cup in 2014 we achieved something on a historic and emotional level that I cannot reproduce in my career.

"That's why it is right and reasonable to finish it and to wish the team all the best for the qualifiication for the 2018 World Cup.

"With this decision I leave the national team that has always been a precious family for me. I hope that the connection will still remain strong in one way or the other.

NOMINATION FOR 2016 NIGERIA SPORTS AWARD BEGIN

Nomination for 2106 Nigeria Sports Award begins -By Jacob Ajom Organisers of the annual Nigerian Sports Award have called on Nigerians to nominate individuals and teams for the 19 categories as nominations for the 2016 edition opened Tuesday.

  Addressing sports journalists in Lagos Tuesday day, Chairman of the Award Committee, Ikeddy Isiguzo explained that only categories where excellent performances were recorded would be given award. “This is a very important aspect of the entire process,

 Isiguzo said, pointing out that except an athlete or a team were nominated, no matter the exploit of such an athlete, the committee cannot, on its own reward such performances with an award.

 That is why I urge you, indeed, all Nigerians to nominate sports men and women of their choice for each category. Categories where there is no excellent performance, there will be no awards,”

 he declared. Executive Directorr of Unmissable Incentives Limited, Kayode Idowu informed that there are 19 categories in this year’s edition. Nominations of potential award winners will end on September 23.

 The award ceremony comes up on December 2, 2016 at Eko Hotel and Suites, Victria Island. Idowu noted that Nigerian Sports Award has built for itself a reputation of a credible and respectable award set up to recognize and reward outstanding performances by Nigerian Athletes.

 ‘’We are very excited and planning to ensure that the 5th edition of the Nigerian Sports Award which is an anniversary edition is better than the past four editions not only about the award night event but also in all aspects of the awards from nominations, participation and attendance by the nominees ”

 he said Nigerian Sports Award (NSA) was set out to recognize and celebrate outstanding performances by Nigerian sports men and women. The award is presented to such sports personalities, whose performances shone brightest at local and international level in the course of each year.
